Server/ Client System Requirements
The following are system requirements and firewall configuration needed to install and use the Binfer Enterprise Sync Server/Client in your organization.
: Windows Server, Windows 7, Windows 10 (64 Bit)
: 200 MB
Binfer Enterprise Sync Server needs a port on the system to be reserved for file transfers. Choose a port that is not within the dynamic port range of your system and make sure that your firewall settings allow inbound and outbound traffic for the chosen port
. (Contact your security admin to make sure that system you are installing the server has the firewall settings setup for the chosen port.)
The port chosen for the server will also be used by each of the client devices and will need to be opened for outbound connections on each client device
. The chosen port cannot be used by any other service on the system.
Binfer Enterprise Sync Server requires outbound HTTP connections via port 443
to the following domains:
We recommend whitelisting the entire Binfer domain via the wildcard option:
Binfer Enterprise Sync Client needs to run the test URL of the enterprise server to ensure connection is possible before installation. This test URL can be found in the Settings page of the Private Cloud
module. This is detailed further in section 5 when discussing client pre-requisites.
