Replacing FTP servers

Until Binfer, the only realistic option to send and receive large files was to install a FTP server on some central location and then provide FTP clients to everyone involved.

FTP works quite well, except it requires lot of technical knowledge and is difficult to manage and maintain. Finally, to prove the point simple search for "problems with FTP" and you will find that FTP is not straightforward as some claim it to be.
