Plans FAQ

  1. How do these plans work? Binfer plans are similar to postage stamps model. Instead of stamps, you get licenses to transfer data measured in gigabytes [GB]. One needs to purchase a plan [license] only when the total size of files is going to exceed the amount remaining in the licenses. Recipients never have to pay to receive files.
  2. Is there a free or a trial version? Yes. You can send upto 200 MB for FREE with Binfer. You can also get licenses to send files for free by participating in promotions.
  3. Do you provide refunds? As per our policy, we provide refunds only for technical failures of the product. We encourage you to 1. Use the free trial, 2. Contact Us or 3.Use the discussion forums to ask any questions or doubts you may have before making a purchase. We will not provide refund for reasons such as: "I changed my mind", "file transfers are too slow...", "I misunderstood what the product was supposed to do...", "recipient did not come online to receive files..." etc. Also, we do not provide partial refunds for any of the plans.
  4. What happens after making a purchase? Is a license code sent? Here is the workflow:
    1. You purchase a plan using the payment gateway
    2. Payment gateway sends us a confirmation of successful transaction. This could take seconds or days depending on the method of payment
    3. We apply the purchased license to your account on our system and send you a confirmation email. We do not send any license codes in the email
    4. You follow the instructions in the email to activate the license
  5. How do I cancel the monthly subscription plan? You can do so your self if you have an account with the payment provider gateway. For example, if you paid with paypal, then you can cancel it from your Paypal account dashboard. Alternatively, submit a cancellation request using the Contact Us form.

Terms

  1. You can send 200 MB of data for free, so that you can try before you buy. This license is valid for one month, from the day you start using the application. You can get more free transfers by participating in various promotions.
  2. All purchases are final. We do not offer any refunds.
  3. You can purchase on behalf of another user. Ensure that you enter the correct email address in the "Apply to account/email" field. Example: If your account id is "user1@binfer.com" and you are purchasing for yourself then the "Apply to account/email" field should be: user1@binfer.com. However, if you are purchasing on behalf of "user2@binfer.com" then the "Apply to account/email" field should be: user2@binfer.com.
  4. We use PayPal for all payment processing. The paid license is applied only when PayPal notifies us that the payment is processed. We will send you email confirmation when your payment is applied. We do not save any credit card or bank account information.
  5. We reserve the right to change the pricing and/or terms at any time.
  6. Usage is measured by the amount of data sent to each recipient. Example: If you send a 100 MB file to two recipients then the usage will be 100 MB x 2 users = 200 MB.
  7. Usage is counted in bytes. Example: 1 MB = 1048576 bytes, 1 GB = 1024 MB = 1073741824 bytes and so on.
  8. Data sent from Binfer Desktop Application is counted towards usage.
  9. Data received with Web Drop is counted towards usage.
  10. When data is transferred between Binfer Desktop Applications at both ends, then the usage is counted only for the sender and not the receiver.
  11. Quota from your Free/Promotional/Reward licenses is applied towards usage first and then from paid licenses.
  12. There is no charge for the software.
  13. This purchase policy is in addition to the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy.
