Why are files not transferring? - Binfer Product Manual

Why are files not transferring

There could be several reasons why your files are not transferring:
  1. Binfer is offline

You or the receiver may be offline. Binfer must be running on the sender computer. If you are sending very large files, you must ensure that your computer does not go into a sleep/standby/hibernate mode. This usually is the most common reason why files do not transfer.

  2. Contact not connected

You or the receiver may not have accepted the connection request. When a file is sent to a receiver for the first time, an e-mail is sent to the receivers, requesting them to confirm you as a contact. If they do not click on the link or accept the connection request from Binfer, you will not be able to send files to them.

  3. Binfer blocked by firewall

Firewall/antivirus may be blocking Binfer. Check the connection status on the status bar. The color should not be RED

  4. File moved or deleted

If the files sent in the message were moved or removed then recipient will not see any files. This commonly happens when the shared file is stored on a external USB drive and the drive later went to sleep mode or was disconnected.

  5. If it is none of the above mentioned reasons, then please contact us with details about your specific situation.
